SHORTFUSE POETRY IDOL 10 will be held on Thursday 17th May 2007 Performers Include: Alison Brumfitt Elle Ludkin Jonathan Attrill Ashley Reaks Joe Hakim Dean Atta. How does it work?
Six performers new to SHORTFUSE will perform for 10 minutes each, and then YOU the audience will vote for their favourite acts. The winning two acts will both be given a full length paid set later in the year. Previous winners have gone on to secure regular full length sets at various other spokenword events accross the country including Express Excess, Apples & Snakes, 5 star Edinburgh Fringe shows, and BBC radio apperances. We are now accepting submissions for SHORTFUSE POETRY IDOL 10. The closing date for submissions is Thursday 19th April 2007.
SHORTFUSE POETRY IDOL 10 will be held on Thursday 17th May 2007 . We are currently receiving submissions from poets, performers and writers for POETRY IDOL 10*. Please send a short recorded sample of your work (10 to 15 minutes is ideal) in either tape, video, cd, DVD or minidisc format. We are not concerned with the quality of the recording, but we do need to hear the style of your performance, if you think it would help us to judge your work fairly please also include printed copies of your work. We recomend that before submitting your work to us you try and attend a regular SHORTFUSE night, to see the diverse range and styles of poetry that we feature. Click here for current listings. On the 15th December 2005 the winners of POETRY IDOL 4, 5 and 6 will compete in POETRY IDOL RIVAL IDOLS 2.
